This four volume report on the Petroleum Geology of the Carpathians covers four countries ( Romania, Ukraine, Poland and Slovakia ) and a mountain range front of approximately 1, 600 km., some 1.5 times the length of the North Sea and equivalent to the length of the Norwegian Sea between Oslo and Nordkapp.

Chapters within this report include Structural Geology, Tectonics, Stratigraphy, Petroleum Geology ( source rocks, reservoir rocks and traps ) and a huge data base of around 400 oil and gas fields.

There are two volumes of text, consisting of 680 pages, of which 292 are A4 illustrations, and two volumes of 18 colour plates at a working scale of 1:200K, 1:500K and 1:1M.
